Unlike granular activated carbon (GAC) filters, our Fusion filter will not channel, fluidize, bypass, or release carbon particles. An ion-exchange filter medium is added for heavy metal reduction such as lead, with particulate filtration to intercept insoluble lead containing particles.

Our Fusion Filters meet NSF standard 53 for Cyst reduction including Cryptosporidium and Giardia, and NSF standard 42 for chlorine reduction.
